Explanation of Teams

Elite

Our elite teams are comprised of the highest level players that play in the best competitive environment possible. Players in these teams will be given the opportunity to practice and compete with our National program.

At PSA, we offer all elite players year round soccer programs. In the Spring and Fall, teams will practice technically and tactically three times a week with a full-time USSF, UEFA, FA and NSCAA Licensed professional coach at our specially chosen facilities. They will compete in highly competitive leagues within EDP.

In the winter, teams will practice twice a week at our indoor facilities focusing on footwork and fitness and will compete in indoor leagues and/or tournaments.

In the summer, we offer teams that will train and compete in competitive tournaments.

Throughout the year, teams will be entered in to 5-6 high level tournaments across the Tri-State and beyond as well as being entered in to the NJ State Cup (age eligible)

Players selected for an elite team will be reasonably tested both physically and mentally in a fun environment to encourage maximum improvement and to create the strongest team at regional level possible.

Premier

Our Premier teams are our second level teams in our regional clubs that play in competitive leagues within EDP.

Premier players will receive year round training from a specifically chosen full-time USSF, UEFA, FA and NSCAA Licensed professional coach.

In the Spring and Fall, teams will practice technically and tactically three times a week in a high level, fun environment to ensure we maximize their development both individually and as a team.

In the winter, teams will practice twice a week at our indoor facilities focusing on footwork and fitness and will compete in indoor leagues and/or tournaments.

Over the year, teams will enter 5-6 competitive tournaments within New Jersey.

Junior Development Academy JDA

Our Academy teams offer a competitive environment for our youngest players. They practice twice a week (Spring and Fall) and once or twice per week in the winter with a full-time professional coach  Players selected for these teams will be introduced to fundamental skills, techniques and body movements and begin playing a semi-structured game environment. It is often the starting place for many of our older elite players at PSA.

Development League

Our Development League has been designed to be the first stage of our competitive ladder. Players in our Development League will receive one hour weekly practice and compete at in-house scrimmages on Saturday mornings. At each practice, players will be taught by one of our full-time professional staff, a curriculum specifically structured to increase the development of motor-skills, creativity and ball manipulation. Our in-house scrimmages are designed to introduce our players to competitive soccer in a relaxed environment without referee’s.
